another funny blinkie

Sorry but I get some weird looks sometimes for feeding Callie in public and it is uncalled for!! So here is another blinkie I thought was cute! I will add though that I always have a blanket covering Callie. :)

Wii

All I can say is OMG we finally got a Nintendo Wii. This is the funnest thing EVER!! Chris and I have been having so much fun. Chris is also excited because we have something to do at night once the girls are asleep. Otherwise I always fall asleep and leave him up alone. Not anymore!! If anyone has a chance to get one of these I highly recommend it. They are a blast. Our arms are sooooo sore from playing tennis, golf & boxing (that is a workout in itself).

Liar, liar pants on fire

I swear these girls are determined to make a liar out of me. :(
Callie sleeps with us (which I swore I would never do) and now Cailynn wants in on making me look bad. he he
I was just telling my mom and probably some other people what a great sleeper Cailynn is and that she will probably be one of those kids who always takes a nap. Well, what do you know...for about 2 weeks or so she has been skipping naps!!!! I try to lay her down but she just gets up after a few minutes and comes downstairs to play and hang out with me. The few days she has taken a nap she doesn't want to go to bed at night...so I guess I would rather her sleep at night versus during the day.

I love this

I saw this online & had to post it here because
it is so true! I wish more people would realize this and be more accepting of breastfeeding moms.

Cherishing these moments

I have found that with the 1st child you are so excited to see them reach their milestones and can't wait for this or that. With the 2nd though I am much more aware of her being a baby and I don't want her to grow up. I now realize exactly how fast they do grow up and I hate it. Don't get me wrong, I love Cailynn's age too because she is so much fun but I miss her being a baby. So I am sure I will baby Callie a little more and nurse her a little longer just because I want her to stay small forever. Do you think that will come back to bite me in the butt???? Uhhh, probably but oh well. ha ha
Some of you may be reading this thinking- How can she baby Callie more than she did Cailynn!! (I know Chris thinks that) :)
Chris says he enjoys her being a baby too but he is ready for her to sleep through the night. I said- How does that affect you??? ha ha ha

My little smarty pants

Cailynn is soooo smart. Of course, I realize that every parent thinks their child is a genius, well we are no exception. :) She will just be hanging out playing with her toys when all of a sudden she starts reciting sentences from her favorite books. It amazes me that she remembers them word for word! Not to mention the fact that she is thinking about them and probably imagined her other toys acting out the stuff we read. Amazing, as Cailynn would put it.

Feeding Frankie

For those of you who do not know, Frankie the giraffe is Cailynn's best friend who goes everywhere and does everything with her. The other night I was nursing Callie and Cailynn grabbed my breast pad and raised her shirt and put it up to her boobie. She then took it off raised her shirt again and proceeded to "feed" frankie like mommy does. Then she looked at us and said Frankie is eating! We were trying not to laugh to hard because she was so proud and we also didn't want her to think anything was wrong with it. IT WAS SOOOO FUNNY & a priceless moment I hope I never forget. At first you think..OMG she shouldn't be doing that but actually she SHOULD! I think it is healthy for her to see her mommy breastfeed and know that it is natural and a normal thing to do. Heck, when I think about it her baby dolls come with bottles and she feeds them so why not pretend to nurse them too when that is all she has ever seen. She has never seen Callie get a bottle.
(Of course, I am not against formula feeding either so if someone is reading this who formula feeds please do not get offended..I fed Cailynn formula after I quit nursing her at 7 1/2 months.)
This was just a funny moment..which has happened again with her other dolls... that I am VERY PROUD of! :)
